I am currently working on an update of my Accordance and Logos Bible software comparative review. For the third time since 2015, I have done some « speed » tests, published in video (see below).
The table below shows the results of the tests conducted in 2015, 2020 and 2021:
As can be seen, Logos has made progress in terms of speed. In July 2015, Accordance was overall much faster than Logos. In November 2021, while Accordance is still generally a little faster, the difference is much less significant and hardly noticeable in use. On the other hand, the last test reflected an abnormally slow syntax search on Accordance. Let’s hope that a future update will fix this small inconvenience.
It should be noted that tests were run on Windows. It is possible that the results will be different under Mac OS.
